MEEJAH (@meejahmusic)
The Copenhagen-based band Meejah is returning to Seoul for the second time. They recorded a KEXP Live Session in 2024 and are newly signed with Pelagic Records in Berlin. After releasing their debut album Queen of Spring, written over the 8 trigrams, they were nominated to ‘Hope of the Year’ by the Danish Music Critics Award Steppeulven. Meejah interprets Nordic melancholia and the Korean diaspora. Meejah plays post-rock, shoegaze and experimental with elements of industrial, gritty hip hop and post-metal
CLOUD UNDERGROUND (@cloudundergroundsk)
“Cloud Underground is born out of the punk and hardcore scene but sounds nothing like those genres. The band blends electronic music, shoegazy guitars, and gothic vocals with heavy beats and melodic synths. The darkness and energy of previous bands remains but with the aim to make you dance and feel sad and stuff.”
SABBAHA (@sabbaha_kr)
Sabbaha is a cult doom metal/doom drone/improv music duo based in Seoul/Suwon.
Sabbaha expresses the agony of being oppressed by destiny with sonic pressure.
Sabbaha is a compound word from the Sanskrit Svaha (let it be done) and the English Sabbath, combining (primarily Buddhist) reverence and praise for divine beings with (Christian) witches' feasts.
FAT HAMSTER & KANG NEW (@fathamsterandkangnew)
Electro-punk duo Fat Hamster & KANG New create music that combines heavy basslines, distorted synth sounds, and socially critical lyrics. Known for their high-energy live performances, they have been gaining recognition across both the Korean and international indie scenes. In 2025, they released their first full-length album ‘Brains in a Vat’ and successfully completed their summer European festival tour.
